Case Study: Food Service

When GW Office Furniture was approached for a transformation project, it was with a set of unique challenges. The primary objective was to accommodate a growing team within an existing two-floor space while also modernizing the workspace to better reflect the company's forward-thinking ethos. The client was set on creating a workspace that encouraged efficiency, collaboration, and a dynamic flow of ideas, and was designed to accommodate around 50-60 employees.

Overview

  • With a focus on practicality and efficiency, we devised a design philosophy that would maximize space utilization while still maintaining an open, collaborative environment. We acknowledged that a successful office design is not just about fitting more people into a space, but creating an environment that fosters creativity, boosts morale, and improves workflow.

We aimed to provide a blend of private, semi-private, and open spaces to cater to various work styles and tasks. This included private cubicles for focused work, collaborative spaces for team brainstorming, and a welcoming reception area that sets the tone for the entire office. The key was to create a layout that not only meets current needs but also has the flexibility to evolve with the company.

  • We conducted a thorough evaluation of the space and decided on a layout that would maximize both functionality and comfort. We placed the EZ Panel System Cubicles strategically to maximize natural light and minimize noise distractions. The boardrooms and collaborative workspaces were placed at the heart of the layout, reinforcing their significance for team collaboration. These decisions were also influenced by the need to maintain a logical and intuitive office flow, allowing for easy navigation throughout the office.

  • The EZ Panel System Cubicles were chosen for their flexibility, aesthetic appeal, and ability to create a sense of personal space without isolating staff. Similarly, the EZ Series Boardroom Tables offered a blend of functionality and style. They provided ample workspace, were easily configurable for different meeting types, and aligned perfectly with the modern aesthetic of the office.

A variety of office chairs were selected, ensuring ergonomic support and comfort for staff. The selection process took into account the different roles and tasks, choosing chairs that would best support productivity in each case.
